Robert Rock, Jr. of Certified Grinding and Machine in Rochester, NY was looking for a particular plaque design that would not only reflect the company’s place in the machining industry, it would commemorate a customer/supplier on his retirement, paying tribute to their long and happy working relationship.
Robert searches the internet to find a company that could produce a high quality plaque quickly, using Certified Grinding and Machine’s intricate logo, all at a reasonable price - which leads him to PlaqueMaker.com.
“I wanted a stainless steel plaque with a black wooden background,” Robert tells us. “I chatted with an associate who said she could provide exactly what I wanted within the timeframe that I requested.”
Robert creates his own plaque design using PowerPoint that he easily executes with PlaqueMaker’s online design system. “Due to the flexibility of your design process, I was able to select the exact layout of the plaque. I attached my PowerPoint slide to an email and sent it with the template on the website, along with a .pdf file of our company logo. It was a very simple process.”
For Robert and the Certified Grinding and Machine team, Walter is quite a special person.
“We have been working together for over ten years,” Robert says. “He has been more than a customer or supplier to me. He has been my friend.”
Robert gives the plaque to Walter at a surprise gathering at the office. “It was quite a moving ceremony. The plaque was certainly the highlight of his day.” Robert also says that everyone in the room was impressed with how professional the plaque looked.
“We have a very intricate and complex logo. My son commented on how detailed it appeared on the plaque,” he says. “The craftsmanship was exceptional and so was your service. Walter called to say that it left him speechless. Thank you.”
