July 23 is Gorgeous Grandma Day, and for women of a certain age, it’s music to their ears. This Boomer-licious holiday is created by author, columnist, radio host and speaker Alice Solomon, who is best known for her syndicated newspaper column “A Guide to Gorgeous Grandmas” as well as several books on finding love after 50, upbeat senior living and aging with style. Gorgeous Grandma Day is named after Alice’s communications company and she’s a wonderful role model – returning to the workforce after graduating from Wellesley College, cum laude –at the age of 50! Alice says this holiday celebrates every woman in her 50’s, 60’s and 70’s who:
