It's the best time of year to realize your awesome geekness, or that of one of your closest geek friends. Closely related to the Nerd, a Geek can be identified by their brainy, un-brawny demeanor and uncanny technical ability. They are brilliantly fluent in tech talk and computer lingo while their enthusiasm for all things technical usually defies their formal, studious flair. So don those goofy glasses, suspenders, bow tie, pocket protector, laptop or tablet and show us your geek, loud and proud!
Geek is the new black. In this day and age, it’s hard to believe that actress Julia Roberts considers herself “an utterly average, total geek,” but the moniker no longer evokes a less-than-average connotation –so don’t fight it. After all, one of America’s most well-known geeks is Bill Gates … and we all know where that leads! That’s right, it leads directly to a commemorative plaque on the Wall of Fame!
