Standoffs - Custom Signs and Plaques Mounting

Standoffs secure your custom signs to wall displays, while slightly extending them away from the surface. This gives your designs a raised mounting with strong visibility, stability, and depth.

Our standoffs consist of both a hollow cylinder base and a front cap. The cap serves as a reliable seal during assembly, and also hides the screw inside the base.

 

Since the caps are positioned on the front of your custom signs, they are often easily visible. At PlaqueMaker, you can choose from silver, black, or gold standoff styles to better complement your custom signage.

Standoffs insert into holes on the corners of your custom signs to ensure optimal stability. Note that this positioning may affect the look of your intended display, so please review the example below.

 

Installation

Standoffs require multiple steps to complete installation, as seen in the diagram above. Before proceeding, prepare your display area as needed, such as cleaning and measuring the surface.

Your standoff upgrade comes with corresponding wood screws for setup. Place the standoffs’ hollow cylinder bases against the wall, and insert the wood screws directly through them. This ensures the standoff bases are stable and flush against the wall.

Next, carefully mount your custom signage onto the cylinder bases. Finally, screw the standoff caps through your custom sign’s holes, and into the hollow bases.
