Celebrate Nature and its Protectors for National Wildlife Day
National Wildlife Day is recognized on September 4th, when everyday people can help local animals and their habitats. The day is also celebrated on February 22nd, in honor of beloved expert Steve Irwin. We can help you spend the day reconnecting with nature, supporting local critters, and rewarding anyone who protects them.
Tribute to a Family’s Best Friend
… He was removed from his owner for cruelty and neglect,” Richard and Helen Frederick tell us. “When we saw him all by himself in the cage, he was so skinny, a real raggedy dog. We adopted him and quickly grew to love him so much. He was such a part of our family for so many years that when he passed away quietly, we carefully buried him in his favorite place, a cool shaded spot against our home, and wanted to have a permanent marker of some sort.”
Living Memorial to Beloved Family Pets
“Our beloved Kaasama passed away recently at the age of 15. Kaasama was a Shiba Inu we rescued from a Missouri puppy mill when she was about four years old,” Jeni tells us. “Her name means ‘Lady Mother’ in Japanese, a name that combines her kennel name, ‘Lady,’ and she is the mother of Kobe, our other Shiba dog. Interestingly enough, we also adopted her on Mother’s Day!”
Remembering Our Furry Friends
“I ordered a granite headstone for my cat DeeDee from PlaqueMaker and was so pleased with the end product. I sent them a picture of her to apply to the stone and it looks so like her and is perfect. It made my heart a little less sad knowing I had a stone by her grave with her picture and engraving so as not to forget the dates, her burial site and how she looked after future years of weather and nature taking a toll on the site. I received the stone quickly and they were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend the PlaqueMaker and plan on using them in the future as needed.”–Schmidt
Perpetual Plaques for a History of Success
Companies that believe in employee recognition know that custom perpetual plaques are a unique way to document an outstanding history of success. You may have seen perpetual plaques on display at a university to honor notable alumni or the corporate office of a non-profit or community organization to thank inspiring leaders or generous donors. Perpetual plaques are a great way to celebrate a number of individual achievements with one award.
Rainbow Bridge Granite Pet Memorial Headstone
Remember your cherished pet with a beautiful granite memorial. Your custom design is engraved on a 16″x10″x2″ black granite pet memorial headstone and can include your pet’s name, life dates, a special dedication and a favorite photo or pet clipart.
Creative Uses for Perpetual Plaques
Just what is a perpetual plaque, anyway? It is a display plaque that typically has a top plate and conveniently-spaced rows of space for the easy addition of nameplates at a future date. The ability to add new plates to perpetual plaques make them a highly customizable option for businesses to honor key employees, etc., without having to buy a whole new award or plaque every time they want to make an update. Some perpetual plaques also include space for a photo. The plates themselves are custom engraved with names, job titles, accomplishments and just about anything else you can say in a few words.
Beautiful High Quality Plaques, Great Service
Jenna Lawrence Grigg and her company recently order one large perpetual plaque for their office lobby and three additional smaller perpetual plaques from PlaqueMaker.com. “We could not be more impressed with the products and service we received from PlaqueMaker,” Jenna tells us. They are beautiful, high quality and most importantly they all go nicely together.”
National Dog Day August 26
We’re pretty fond of our furry family members at PlaqueMaker, so we’re getting ready for National Dog Day*, celebrated annually on August 26 to honor all the dogs putting their lives on the line every day – for their law enforcement human, for their blind companion, for the child who is disabled, for their partner in the military -for all the ways they save lives, keep us safe and bring us comfort. This special event also brings attention to the astounding number of dogs in need of rescue each year, and what we can do to help.
